You can’t pour from an empty cup.
Rest isn’t laziness—it’s leadership.
Burnout isn’t a rite of passage. It’s a red flag.

These are more than words—they’ve become truths I live by.

There was a time I wore my exhaustion like a badge of honor. I prided myself on working longer, pushing harder, staying constantly “on.”

But the truth? My most creative, meaningful, and strategic moments in leadership didn’t come from hustle.

They came from rest.

Intentional rest isn’t about checking out. It’s about reconnecting with what fuels you.

For me, it’s:

Early morning coffee on the porch

A slow walk through the garden

Writing with no pressure or outcome

These rituals don’t slow me down. They sharpen my vision.

Rest is not a reward I earn. It’s the foundation of how I show up for myself, my family, my team, and my business.

Burnout isn’t a badge. It’s a signal. And if you’re hearing it—listen.

This weekend, I invite you to pause with purpose.

With gratitude,
